St. David’s – Pursuing God, Providing Hope
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.
The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. ” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
Our Vision: We desire to be a Christ-centered, Anglican community of faith, connecting people to the Presence and Power of Jesus Christ, as we Pursue God and Provide Hope to Cheraw and the world. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47
Our Mission: Through worship, prayer, teaching, small groups, mentoring and fellowship, our mission is to make disciples and offer prophetic hope, healing grace, and a ministry of encouragement to all we meet, locally and globally. 2Timothy 2:2; Titus 2:11-14
- We value making the love of Christ the priority in all things. John 13:35; ICor.16:14
- We value authenticity, transparency, integrity and accountability. Micah 6:8
- We value grace based living in an Anglican community of Christian faith. Eph.2:8-9
- We value a life of prayer and lifelong learning. Luke 18:1; 2Timothy 2:15
- We value the authority of Scripture as the foundation for making disciples. 2Tim.3:16-17
- We value the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the healing of forgiveness. Acts 2:38
Our Goal: Through the proclamation of the Gospel, worship of the Triune God, and making disciples who make disciples, we will create a safe place for the one and the many, who need the healing touch of Gods grace. This will necessitate St. David’s becoming a vibrant, multigenerational, multi-ethnic, multi-national, Anglican church in Cheraw. Revelation 7:9
D – Dedicated to seeking God’s presence and empowerment above all else. Matt.6:33
A – Affirming in action, our love for whomever the Lord puts in our path. Galatian 5:13
V – Validating our faith thru worship, service, giving, missions, & discipleship. Mark 16:15
I – Intentionally cultivating a culture of honor & a community of grace. ICor.14:12; Eph.4:12

About the Service
All are invited at St. David’s Church to worship Sunday mornings at 10:30. We hear the word of God proclaimed and preached and we celebrate the Holy Eucharist. Our services alternate between the traditional language (Rite I) without music and (Rite II) which uses contemporary language and has music and choir. A nursery is offered during the service for any children who do not wish to participate. All children are welcome at our services. A young adult’s Sunday School class begins at 9:30. We invite you to join us each Sunday, as we worship God and give thanks. For up-to-date calendar and events, see the most current newsletter.
